Sugarplum Dreams Nutcracker gifts

Every year my sweet daughter is in our Community production with Ballet Arkansas, The Nutcracker. One of the most fun things for the kids to do is exchange gifts with their party family. This was Hope's year to be a Party Girl (something she has dreamed of since she could talk!) and we couldn't be more thrilled and proud. Isn't she beautiful. In case you were wondering, these gifts came together in a fraction of the time it took me to make these beautiful ringlets!

I almost screamed when I saw the Sugarplum Dreams set from Stampin' Up in the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  THEN we say these "son of a Nutcracker" hand sanitizers and an idea was born.

We had gifts to make for boys and girls, so we made two versions. The nutcracker and ballerina were colored with my new Stampin' Blends (LOVE THEM SO!) and  I used the sentiment with my layering ovals to adorn the gift bags of Muddy Buddies, my specialty at Christmas. AKA crack...

I hope you dream of Sugarplums tonight and find whatever gets you into the full Christmas spirit!

Merry Little Labels Hot Chocolate Holder

This past weekend I held my Santa's Workshop Event where guests made a gob of cute holiday treats, tags, gift card holders and cards. Hot chocolate holders are my most popular gift and this cutie is one of my faves. I cut one of the Acetate Card  Boxes #144628 in half (tip>>the opened flat box is 8" from tip to tip) and decorated it with a strip of Merry Little Christmas Designer Paper (1 1/4"). The perfect accent label was made using the Merry Little Labels Stamp set stamped in Memento ink on Whisper White paper and the punch layered on itself in black then white. Then I added a leaf punch and itty bitty bow just to make it adorable. I filled Stampin' Up's treat tubes with mini marshmallows and tucked it inside the box. Chocolate Santas are from Walmart and mini marshmallows were next to the hot chocolate. They are wonderful because they don't get all dried up like regular marshmallows when you are crafting. (they come pre-dried, like Lucky Charms cereal marshmallows).

This Merry Little Labels Stamp bundle is available for a limited time only and is at 10% off, as it is on the retiring Holiday Catalog list. Get it now at bundled price of $35 for the clear mount set:

On Stage 2017 Highlights - Day 1

Many of you followed my Facebook "papermadeprettierclub" for all the latest deets that we experienced at OnStage 2017 in Salt Lake City in November. The trip was unbelievable. If I could just click my heels and be back there, I would. One of the most special days of all is the day I went in early to tour the home office with my bestie Lana Dunn. Many of you know Lana, she and I met at a stamping event without upline Becky Liggin around the year 2000. We have grown closer through our children being born at the same time and her breast cancer. She is in stage 4 with metastatic breast cancer, but for God she was able to attend On Stage in Salt Lake City. We rented a car and like Thelma and  Louise ventured out to the Stampin' Up home office!

The story starts with a jillion, ok 75 swaps that I created with the Quirky Critters stamp set. Isn't he adorable? I was on a blends binge and it was FUN! Have you gotten your blends yet?

Lana and I were kind of in shock at the Home Office with awe and wonder at the whole experience.

The sample displays were incredible. We took one million photos.

I geeked out on the factory tour watching how our packages get packed and shipped!

Not sure how we scored a private tour of  the upstairs with Rett, the SU guru, but it was boss!  We go to see Sara's (CEO) and Rich's (CFO) offices WOW!

So fun to meet my Business development Advisor Nick in person!

We ended the night with a perfect meal with our my team, my treat for all of their hard work.

The trip just wouldn't be complete without some fancy gifts for the team. They loved these bags I had monogrammed for them :)

Now off to bed because tomorrow we see the NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG! I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve!
