Ducky Thanks card box
You might recall a few weeks ago when I posted the "Ducky Thanks" thank you card. I promised instructions on how to make this adorable box. I love the sweet Something For Baby stamp set, but I'm not much on the pinks and baby blues, but these colors really pop! I think this box is perfect to fill with these adorable thank you cards and to give them as a gift for a baby shower.Stampin' Up supplies used:
stamp sets: Something for Baby, Just Sayin'
paper: pacific point 12 x 12" cardstock, whisper white card stock, brights designer series paper stack
ink: hello honey, pacific point and memento black stamp pads; pacific point, hello honey, garden green and tangerine tango markers
tools: Word Bubbles and Baby's First big shot framelits die, 2 1/2" circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, word window punch, alphabet rotary stamp
embellishments: linen thread
Directions:
Cut 12 x 12" card stock in 9 x 9" square. See the directions here that I got off Pinterest. Stamp ducks randomly onto box with pacific point pad. Cut belly band in tangerine tango designer paper 12 x 1" and wrap around box and adhere to itself with double sided tape. Color dangle pieces with markers as shown and cut with the coordinating "Baby's First" framelits. No more fussy cutting! Let the BigShot do all the work. Punch tiny holes in the elements, thread linen through and tie off on one end. Cut bigger circle in pacific point designer paper then cut the smaller circle in whisper white. Stamp duck with hello honey stamp pad. Stamp word bubble saying on scrap white paper and cut with word bubble framelit. Adhere to circle with stampin' dimensional. Cover center of belly band with double sided tape. Lay linen thread over the tape and cover with the larger blue circle. Then layer white circle onto blue. The last little detail I put was the baby's due date (or birthday if after). Dial it on the rotary alphabet stamp and then stamp on whisper white scraps. Punch out with the word window punch. adhere to the edges of the coat hanger. Tuck the cutie cards into the envelopes, fill the box and you've got the perfect shower gift!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks Misty! You are too kind. I'm not usually a baby stamp kind of a girl, but I branched out and loved it! The envelope punch board is awesome, isn't it. Thanks for the well wishes!
