Holiday Craft Escape Retreat Recap

What a weekend!  I am in awe of the fun, creative inspiration, laughs, ideas, prizes and food that we enjoyed this weekend at my Holiday Craft Escape Retreat.  I'd love to take you on a tour-in-pictures of the fun!

It all starts with the NOT FUN part. Thank goodnes Allison Gillaspy and Audra Jones were there to help me!  Relocating my craft room to the retreat. It's seriously like moving!

Each person gets their own LARGE space and a packet of holiday goodies and handmade treats!

Holiday Displays galore:
Boo!

Fall Frenzy

Christmas needs it's own table!

And of course, prizes. There are also tables (not pictured) with tools (all big shot items, inks, big shots, scoring boards, punch boards, punches are all available for check out) and BOGO items for sale PLUS kits to do if you don't want to pack anything!

Here we are in all of our unpacked glory!

The highlight of the weekend is a fantastic surprise. Now, the weekend supposed to be about me spoiling the attendees (many of whom are on my team). And this happened.......... This week, my fab teammate Elizabeth Hart worked her tail off to promote to Silver Elite and that put me over the edge to Gold. Some of the members of my team (Audra, Virginia, Patience and Elizabeth) teamed up an pulled a fast one on me!  WOW!  They gave me these flowers, a gold tiara, a custom made cake and precious card. I was in tears and so moved by their generosity. Thank y'all!

The make and takes were designed by Erica Cerwin, Pink Buckaroo Designs (thanks girl!) except for the middle one, I did that!  I like to step it up a little for this special occasion and Erica always hits a home run for designs.

Friday Night's food table theme was Halloween. Ok, I may have gone overboard on the food!

Saturday morning's theme was fall. The favorite of the whole retreat was Devil Mix (my special spicy chex party mix)!

Saturday Night was the SPECIAL party... Christmas. Which included....
Christmas gifts (of course) Warmth and Cheer Washi was inside:

homemade peppermint marshmallows

Hot Chocolate Bar

We played the Saran Wrap unwrapping Stampin' Up prizes game and EVERYONE won. That was after we had to download a dice app...... momentary panic, crisis averted

You can see, everyone was disappointed and no fun was had! (not pictured, Kathy Rich and Mary Hutchinson)

We also had a costume contest for Holiday PJ's. I was freezing so I just wore my PJs all day. The other folks in the retreat center? Who cares! I just smiled. We were all cute, but the pair with matching PJs and handmade shoes were the winners! Patience and Deena are hysterical.

Sorority Duck Faces!

I'm gonna save our WOW- Not - a - card swaps for a post later this week, but here's a sneak peek

Save the date and watch for details about my next weekend retreat. February 17-19th 2017.  I can't wait!

  2. What a weekend we all had. I really wished that more could come because there was so much to miss if you didn't come. I arrived right at 4:00pm when the doors opened. I quickly found my table - yes, i had a complete 8 foot table to myself. After we got settled and had dinner, prize patrol started! I really enjoyed myself. I was able to work on my projects without any interruptions of everyday life. Kay provided an atmosphere that was perfect!. We had food, fun and of course fun games, make and takes as well as a few demonstrations. It was perfect!. I have already paid my deposit for the Spring Craft Retreat because I don't want to miss this. Kay was wonderful and I am so blessed to be a part of this group. She treats us like queens!
