This past weekend was outstanding! I hosted my Sweet Treats Spring Retreat at the local 4H center. We stamped, played, laughed, learned, ate, stamped, ate, stamped, giggled and didn't sleep a whole lot. This is definately one of the highlights of my stampin' year.
My number one goal is to spoil, spoil, spoil my attendees. Here is what greeted everyone at their tables:
Because everyone really does need their own personal gumball machines, right?
My downline Elizabeth Hart made the fantastic macaraons. WOW, just wow.
And we must have somewhere to take notes and make our wish lists
We haves stations for everyone to visit:
BOGO sale/Kits/Adhesives
Displays
Make and take table (card inspired by Tami White and curvy keepsake by Yvonne Bruggen
My entire craft room relocated!
Candy table
Shared snacks (this was the first night. It got full to the brim before the weekend was out)
There is not much formal structure to our weekend, but we do a few make and takes, have a few demonstrations and a get to know ya game. Amy was sharing some funny things about herself.
We stamped and stamped and scrapbooked and stamped some more!
We completed our swaps, which are always clever and cute (Stay tuned for a full post on those)
We finished out the night with banana splits. Some went to bed at a reasonable hour and some.......not so much :)
We were greeted with a yummy breakfast (on our own time, which is nice so that the early risers and late birds could all eat when they are ready)
The guests were greeted with "pillow gifts" from me often :). Fri night was Sweet Treats Washi
Saturday morning, they received the sprinkles embellishments
Saturday noon was a cutie chocolate bar
Sunday Morning was glue dots (by the time the weekend was over, we had used so much of our adhesives! But also a great way for me to share my new glimmer Saleabration paper :). swoon.
Saturday night we had a sweet treats contest and attendees had a bake off to see who could make the most delicious sweet treat. Beverly Kinneman (my momma - and no it was not rigged!) was the winner with her 7up Pound cake and Jennifer Booth came in second with a dessert that contained chocolate chip crust, brownies and whole oreos.
Don't worry, some of us went on a hike since it was a gorgeous day
One of my favorite things that we did was impromptu presentations:(videos on my FB customer pager "papermadeprettierclub" find us!)
Casey wowed us with her watercoloring
Judy and Beverly taught us about masking
Patience showed us how to turn 12x12 paper into a purse with notecards inside
Gabby showed us how to make a twist and pop card
Here are some of the cutie projects folks made:
These projects were da bomb. But honestly, the best thing I made was 12 wonderful friends and totally unplugged and chilled from everyday life. Treat yourself in September! Stay tuned for details about my next retreat Sept 22-24.
