Twice a year we gather for a FULL WEEKEND of crafting, and somehow, each year, my heart leaves more full! The papermadeprettier Holiday Retreat 2019 video was this weekend and we had a blast. 23 of us gathered at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center for inspiration and laughs galore.
Guests were greeted with an adorable set up of materials used to make their 9 make and takes. These places were straightened and fancied by Chad Williams from Stampin' Up! He's an expert since he has done this before at On Stage events!
Did you catch that? Yes, Chad Williams, our Demonstrator Development Manager attended our retreat. It's cool enough that he flew across the country to craft with us, but even cooler that he jumped in and helped at every step. He is truly a servant leader and embodies the Stampin' Up values.
I am so grateful to the sweet helpers that helped with set up and clean up! I couldn't do it without them!
We ate some pretty unhealthy things this weekend including handmade donuts from Michelle! WOW! Have you ever had a bacon maple cheese donut?
We usually start with get to know you games, we learned some interesting facts about each other!
Retreats call for something special! Special table gifts are in order and they are distributed throughout the weekend for maximum fun!
We had 9 make and takes that were prepped and ready to go for the attendees, mostly centered around the Toile Tidings suite with Wrapped in Plaid a Shaker Dome ornament shown here. I will post another post about the Make and Takes later.
One of our favorite things to do when we gather is swap. Here are our swaps and a close up of one of them. I will post a full blog post on those later. Pajama Contest entries! PLUS we had prizes and treats from Chad. We love prizes!

This was an amazing weekend! The location was not only gorgeous but peaceful and the weather was perfect! The make and takes were beautiful and I really enjoyed the fellowship with the other attendees! The cherry on top was having DDM Chad Williams there to craft with us!!!
