Pinch me! Am I really here? I can't wait until we set sail to the Mediterranean! What's more, the new Holiday Catalog has my mind blown! The holiday trifecta of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas here in North America are covered with style.
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Kay Cogbill or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Kay Cogbill.
For me Halloween is all about candy and if I'm giving candy, it's gonna be cute! I was inspired by Ronda Wade recently to revisit the sour cream container project. Gotta love the simplicity of this cute project! This container features the Among the Branches stamp set from the Stampin' Up 2015 Holiday Catalog, great for all three holidays, but I chose to use the "spooky" sentiment and that nice black crow. Or is he? You decide!
This stamp set paired with the New Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper is a hit! I sealed the edges with Fast Fuse inside, but then accented with a little of the Happy Haunting coordinating deisgner washi tape and tied a gorgeous basic black stitched satin ribbon for the final touch.
I'd love to see what sour cream containers you come up with! Post them in the comments here.
They are SUPER EASY - Cut a piece of card stock square (I prefer 5x5 inches). Apply Fast Fuse to 3 sides, roll the un-fused side over to the fused side to make a tube, pinch one end, add candy, then pinch the other end the alternate direction. It's so simple! Now, get our your Designer Paper (cause I know you have some!) and make a ton. Then when you run out, buy more from me! We've got tons!

Great project Kay! I love sour cream container projects - and this one for Halloween will be so popular.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shannean! I think I'll make a ton!
DeleteThese are lovely little treat boxes and I really like the way you have accentuated the base with the Washi tape.
ReplyDeleteDo you know sometimes I think things just evolve that way! The ends were kinda sticky anyway from my sloppy adhesive techniques, so I just rolled with it and added washi. Too cute!
DeleteI need to create some Halloween projects! Thanks for sharing this idea.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure. I love Halloween!
DeleteCute project Kay!
