Fiesta time: MINI Paper Pyramid Pinata!

Mini Pyramid Pinata

I LOVE the following things:
-pinatas
-candy, candy, candy
- anything mini
-paper
-bright colors

I got this swanky idea just a week before my Saleabration Celebration FIESTA from the Stampin' Up blog. Sue Plote, one of Stampin' Up's talented Artisan Designers, takes you through step by step how to make it! Make aure and click to her blog for the full instructions! This treat showcases the Stampin' Up Pyramid Pals Thinlit die, balloon punch and Cherry On Top designer series paper.

I used my perfectly sized Paper Pumpkin stamp from the March Kit for the "Just For You" sentiment. I LOVE the fun and festive color scheme for an absolute party-  Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay. Sue used the It's My Party suite for hers and they are just as bright and cute!

Here's what the bottom of the candy spewing wonder looks like!

Simply pull on the string! (pull gently and you can reuse it!) No messy bats and crazy, screaming, kids screaming. It's just this adorable project, you and some m&m's!
TIP: I did use Tear and Tape adhesive with little knot at the end of the string just to make good and sure the string won't pull back through the hole.

***Try it!  Post a picture here if you make one. I'd love to see multiple patterns of these cuties! ***

Barnyard Fiesta! plus EXTRA weekly deals!

Barnyard Fiesta Tic Tac surprise!

Sometimes I amaze myself!  I wanted to spoil my team and customers at my Saleabration Celebration which I hold each year for those team members and customers that achieve during the Saleabration period. This year, our theme was "Mexican Fiesta".  I knew that when I started formulating a plan for the pillow gifts, that this donkey HAD to become a pinata. Barnyard babies + bright colors + fringe framelit from Pyramid Pals framelits (did you know there was one? I didn't!) + bling = FIESTA FUN! The sentiment is short and sweet and I shortened the "yay, you" to just "yay" because it  just looked better!

Stampin' Up Supplies Used:
Stamps: Barnyard Babies stamp set, Sincere Salutations stamp set (OC)
Paper: Cherry on Top Designer paper stack, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Watermelon Wonder card stock
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Watermelon Wonder stampin' write markers and Bermuda Bay Classic ink pad, Archival Black ink pad (OC)
Tools: Pyramid Pals Framelits Die (fringe piece) (OC), 2: circle punch, 2 3/8" scalloped punch
Embellishments: Basic Rhinestones, gold 1/8" ribbon
-If not noted OC (Occasions Catalog), products come from Annual Catalog

I'd love to see what embellished tic-tac projects you come up with. Post them in the comments here and I just might drop you a pretty card!

Bonus Weekly Deals!

Stampin' Up is re-vamping their sale items and will no longer offer weekly deals after April 18th. Take advantage of these deals NOW while you can!

Ducky Thanks card box

You might recall a few weeks ago when I posted the "Ducky Thanks" thank you card.  I promised instructions on how to make this adorable box.  I love the sweet Something For Baby stamp set, but I'm not much on the pinks and baby blues, but these colors really pop!  I think this box is perfect to fill with these adorable thank you cards and to give them as a gift for a baby shower.

Stampin' Up supplies used:
stamp sets: Something for Baby, Just Sayin'
paper: pacific point 12 x 12" cardstock, whisper white card stock, brights designer series paper stack
ink: hello honey, pacific point and  memento  black stamp pads; pacific point, hello honey, garden green and tangerine tango markers
tools: Word Bubbles and Baby's First big shot framelits die, 2 1/2" circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, word window punch, alphabet rotary stamp
embellishments: linen thread

Directions:
Cut 12 x 12" card stock in 9 x 9" square. See the directions here that I got off Pinterest.  Stamp ducks randomly onto box with pacific point pad. Cut belly band in tangerine tango designer paper 12 x 1" and wrap around box and adhere to itself with double sided tape.  Color dangle pieces with markers as shown and cut with the coordinating "Baby's First" framelits. No more fussy cutting! Let the BigShot do all the work.  Punch tiny holes in the elements, thread linen through and tie off on one end.  Cut bigger circle in pacific point designer paper then cut the smaller circle in whisper white. Stamp duck with hello honey stamp pad. Stamp word bubble saying on scrap white paper and cut with word bubble framelit.  Adhere to circle with stampin' dimensional.  Cover center of belly band with double sided tape. Lay linen thread over the tape and cover with the larger blue circle. Then layer white circle onto blue.  The last little detail I put was the baby's due date (or birthday if after). Dial it on the rotary alphabet stamp and then stamp on whisper white scraps. Punch out with the word window punch. adhere to the edges of the coat hanger.  Tuck the cutie cards into the envelopes, fill the box and you've got the perfect shower gift!!!

Tag Topper "WOO HOO!!!" treat holders - perfect for spring celebrations!

Spring is here!!! that means graduation, prom, Mother's Day, teacher gifts... You name it, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate. My father retired from 40+ years as a CPA this weekend.  HOORAY for dad!  My sister and I (also a Stampin' Up demo) cooked up some decoration ideas for the shindig the night before (EEK!). I set out to make treats and a scrapbook in 24 hours. I may show you the scrapbook later, but FYI, I finished it!  I love a good challenge. I can't believe I did it!!!  These little candy treat holders (there is a Hershey nugget inside) took me about 1 hour to make. They are seriously easy!!!  You could adapt for any celebration. My dad likes photography, so his camera is saying "WOO HOO!".

The must have tool for this DIY treat holder is the tab topper punch. It comes in either scalloped or angled types.

CLICK THE PICTURE TO GO TO MY ONLINE STORE AND BUY IT NOW!

Here are some other goodies I have made with these punches:

Stampin Up supplies used:

embellishments: silver 1/8" ribbon
tools: angled tab topper punch, arrows textured impressions embossing folder, Word Bubbles framelit dies, On Film framelit dies

Directions:
Cut garden green paper at 7" x 2" and score at the 3" and 4" mark. Run through BigShot in arrows embossing folder (a little bit of the back won't emboss, that's ok!)  Stamp saying on white paper then cut out with on film framelit. Cut out silver camera with frame lit. Attach to front with dimensional then attach word bubble with snail adhesive. Tape candy in with double sided tape.  Fold treat holder on score lines and tie with silver ribbon. Simple and wonderful!
